Substrate Preparation

Grinding, levelling, floor strip-outs, moisture management and surface correction — the foundation every finish depends on.

Where it fits — Required on nearly every commercial project. Includes ride-on stripping for floor strip-outs, mechanical grinding, and precision levelling.
Why it matters — Adhesion failure and finish defects trace back to inadequate preparation.

Vinyl, Rubber and Wall Sheet Systems

Sheet vinyl, safety vinyl, rubber and wall sheet for environments where hygiene, durability and cleanability are core requirements.

Where it fits — Healthcare, aged care, kitchens, laboratories and controlled environments, corridors, wet areas.
Controlled environments — Coved vinyl and static dissipative flooring in PC2 laboratory rooms and other controlled areas.
Why it matters — Welded seams, coved skirtings and wall sheet integration separate performance from failure.
Training — JA Floors completed Altro’s Whiterock installer training program in 2024.

Resin and Protective Coating Systems

Epoxy, polyurethane and specialist coatings for environments needing chemical resistance and traffic durability.

Where it fits — Kitchens, plant rooms, labs, climate-controlled warehouses, service corridors.
Includes — Self-levelling epoxy systems, and removal of existing epoxy coatings where a slab needs remediation before the new floor goes down.
Why it matters — Wrong system or incorrect application leads to delamination and premature failure.

Concrete Finishes and Durable Surface Treatments

Polished concrete, grind and seal, micro-topping, Architop and decorative surface treatments selected for operational suitability.

Where it fits — Retail, foyers, warehouses and coolrooms, service corridors. Decorative finishes like micro-topping and Architop increasingly specified in office fit-outs.
Why it matters — Done poorly, concrete dusts, stains and degrades. The system must suit the traffic and cleaning regime.

Hygienic Wall Sheeting Systems

High-impact hygienic wall sheeting for healthcare, kitchen, laboratory and controlled environments where walls need the same cleanability and durability as floors.

Where it fits — Hospitals, aged care, commercial kitchens, clean rooms, laboratories and any environment where wall surfaces must withstand impact, moisture and chemical cleaning.
Why it matters — Standard painted walls degrade under cleaning regimes and impact. Hygienic wall sheeting provides a seamless, impervious surface designed to hold its integrity over years of service.
Training — Four JA Floors installers completed Altro’s Whiterock installer training program in 2024.
Environments — Healthcare, kitchens, clean rooms and laboratories.
